Epoxy Flooring Richmond

Homes built before the 1990 revisions to the BC Building Code often have no sub-slab vapour barrier at all. Even newer construction in Richmond commonly tests above the 3 lb/1,000 sq ft/24-hour MVER threshold because the water table is so close to the surface. Standard epoxy primers fail above that threshold. We specify a moisture-mitigating primer on every Richmond job where testing confirms it is needed, which is most of them.
