Epoxy Flooring Chilliwack

Epoxy and polyaspartic floors for Chilliwack garages, acreage shops, farm buildings and commercial units. Every slab is ground and moisture tested first.

Epoxy Flooring in Chilliwack, Built for Shops and Floodplain Slabs

Epoxy flooring in Chilliwack costs $5 to $12 per square foot for most garage systems, and a typical two-car garage lands between $2,000 and $4,000 installed. We coat garages in Sardis, Vedder and Promontory, shop floors on acreages out toward Rosedale and Ryder Lake, and working farm buildings in Yarrow and Greendale.

A lot of the floors we see in Chilliwack are bigger and harder-working than a city garage. A detached shop that holds a tractor, an RV bay that takes a trailer back from Cultus Lake every weekend, a dairy utility room that gets hosed down daily. Those floors get a heavier build, a textured topcoat for grip when they are wet, and a system chosen for what gets spilled on them, not just what looks good.

The other thing that sets Chilliwack apart is the ground under the slab. The City of Chilliwack notes that parts of Greendale and Yarrow sit within the floodplain of both the Fraser and the Vedder rivers, and slabs on low ground carry moisture up from below. Every floor gets a moisture test before anything goes down, and a moisture vapour barrier primer when the reading calls for one.

Floodplain Slabs, Farm Buildings and Cold Snaps

Chilliwack concrete comes in three broad types, and each one needs different prep. New-build garages in Garrison Crossing, Promontory and Sardis are usually sound, flat slabs that need a 28-day cure and a light grind. Older homes in Chilliwack Proper often have painted or sealed garage floors that have to be ground back to bare concrete before any coating will bond. Farm and shop pads on the flats are frequently poured without a vapour barrier and carry the most moisture, which is why the moisture test comes before the quote is final. The City of Chilliwack flood protection page shows which areas sit on the Fraser and Vedder floodplain.

The upper Fraser Valley also runs colder than the coast in winter, especially when an Arctic outflow comes down the valley. Standard epoxy needs the slab and the air above roughly 10°C to cure properly, so unheated shops and garages are best booked from spring to early fall, or done with a polyaspartic system that tolerates cooler conditions. We check the forecast and the slab temperature before the install day.

Barns and shops that see tractors, grain dust, manure, fertiliser and daily washing get a different specification from a house garage: a thicker build, a coarser aggregate for grip, and a chemical-resistant topcoat. If the building is a working dairy or processing room, we look at the urethane cement systems built for constant water and cleaning chemicals.

Epoxy Flooring Chilliwack: FAQ

Epoxy flooring in Chilliwack typically costs $5 to $10 per square foot for solid colour epoxy and $6 to $12 for a flake or polyaspartic system. A two-car garage usually lands between $2,000 and $4,000 installed. Acreage shops and commercial floors run $8 to $16 and are quoted on site. GST is additional.
Yes. Detached shops, RV and boat bays, equipment storage and farm utility rooms in Rosedale, Yarrow, Greendale, Ryder Lake and across the Chilliwack flats get a high-build system with a textured topcoat for grip. Rooms that are washed down daily get quartz or urethane cement. Every job is quoted after we see the slab.
It can be. The City of Chilliwack notes parts of Greendale and Yarrow sit on the Fraser and Vedder floodplain, and slabs on low ground often carry moisture up from below. We test every slab before quoting, and use a moisture vapour barrier primer where the reading calls for it.
Often, but it depends on the building. Standard epoxy needs the slab and air above roughly 10°C, which rules out many unheated Chilliwack garages in a cold snap. Heated garages can be done year round, and polyaspartic systems handle cooler shoulder seasons better than epoxy.
A professionally installed epoxy floor in Chilliwack typically lasts 10 to 15 years or more, and our 2-Day flake system carries a written warranty of up to 20 years on interior floors. From Sardis garages to acreage shops, every Chilliwack floor is diamond ground and moisture tested first, which is what lets it reach that lifespan.
Yes. We coat garages across Promontory, Garrison Crossing, Sardis and Vedder Crossing, many of them newer homes where the slab only needs a light grind and a moisture test. New concrete needs about 28 days to cure before it is coated.
